This is an excerpt from my regular blog. I repost my owl-related posts over here, in case anyone wants to see more owl without having to read about my life. Because the reprints aren't edited at all, some time they talk about things that only make sense in the context of the other blog, so if you're not making heads or tails of something, that's probably why.

My God, that was beautiful and terrifying.
When I was living in my parents' house, I had a big snowy white owl stuffed and mounted in a large glass case sitting in the corner of my room (my grandpa had shot this thing in the 1930s, apparently).
It's a good thing I never saw that video until I no longer have to sleep in the same room as the owl.
Yeah, it's pretty freaky. I wonder if the owl hit the camera at all. It seems like a pretty expensive camera.
